MORNING
Arrival and breakfast
Children eat breakfast with their classmates.
As they finish their meal, they pick up wait wait for their teacher to start their day.
Greeting circle and Morning Message
Greeting circle activities encourage children to participate in a positive way to start each day. It sets the tone for their emotional well-being and challenges them to focus on pro-social skills.
Music and Movement
Several music and movement activities are offered weekly with accompanying portal access for all music recordings. Music is used throughout the day to unite children together as a group, engage them during a waiting time, and offer a break between activities.
LITERACY LESSON
Literacy lessons are short, small-group lessons that focus on a single learning goal. There is a literacy small-group lesson for each day of the week.
outdoor plaY
Several outdoor activities take place each week to foster young children's natural curiosity in the world around them.
Math lesson
Math lessons follow a developmental progression centered on the same big idea for the week identified by the "Focus" at the beginning of each week's lesson. There is a math lesson every day.
lunch
Scholars will have lunch in their classrooms and can either bring their own lunch or have school lunch. We are a peanut-free school!
Read-aloud #2
Read-Aloud lessons include questioning strategies to promote higher-level thinking.
Quiet Time
Ssshh … it’s quiet time. Many children will nap, but as they wake up (or if they never quite get to sleep), they can select different quiet activities, such as looking at books or drawing.
STEAM with Practice Centers
Each week children are presented with a problem to solve using the engineering design process.

It’s time for pick-up! After a busy day together, children are given the space and time to explore and play in the learning centers on their own.
Read-Aloud
Read-Aloud lessons include questioning strategies to promote higher-level thinking.
Closing Circle and Dismissal
The closing circle consists of reflection questions, and a prompt to send home for the weekly Family Connections Letter.
